VOLASIM – Legitimate Interest Disclosure

In accordance with the Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) of IAB Europe and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), VOLASIM relies on Legitimate Interest as the legal basis for certain limited data processing activities related to mobile application advertising and programmatic media buying through Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs).

1. Processing Activities under Legitimate Interest

As part of advertising campaigns for mobile applications, VOLASIM may receive and process limited technical data transmitted through DSPs, advertising exchanges, attribution platforms, and other authorized advertising technology partners.

This data may include IP addresses, device and advertising identifiers, device type, operating system, app-related information, approximate connection data, and technical information associated with advertising requests, impressions, clicks, and campaign delivery.

Such data is processed under Legitimate Interest only for purposes that are necessary to support secure and reliable media buying, including:

Security, fraud prevention and invalid traffic detection
We perform or rely on automated checks designed to identify bots, fraudulent activity, manipulated traffic, duplicate activity, and other forms of invalid traffic (IVT).

Campaign integrity and technical operation
Technical information may be processed to ensure that advertising campaigns are delivered correctly, advertising requests can be processed, and technical errors or system failures can be identified and resolved.

Protection of advertising spend
Fraud and traffic-quality controls help protect advertising budgets from fraudulent or non-human activity and support accurate campaign measurement.

VOLASIM does not rely on Legitimate Interest for activities that require consent under applicable law or the IAB Europe TCF.

2. Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA)

VOLASIM has assessed the necessity and proportionality of these processing activities.

The processing is limited to what is reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, campaign integrity, traffic-quality verification, and technical troubleshooting in connection with programmatic media buying.

We seek to minimize the data processed and retain it only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose.

We have determined that these legitimate business interests do not override the fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects.

3. Your Right to Object

Under Article 21 of the GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data where such processing is based on Legitimate Interest.

If you have any questions, wish to exercise your rights, or wish to object to processing carried out on the basis of Legitimate Interest, please contact us at:
